Energy source – how green can you be

On a daily basis, I am one of the early birds into work. When I reach office, there is a part time male-receptionist until the main receptionist arrives. He is a cheerful, English middle-aged man who tries hard to understand my accent. He spotted me jogging during lunch time one day and said in one of our early morning conversations “People spend so much energy running outside and the gym…imagine if we could harness it and utilise it somehow…..”

Genius, I think!!!!

What you want to do

This question intrigued me....

- I would help others (for example: social assistant, doctor, fireman, etc.)
- I would have high responsibilities, take decisions (for example: manager, entrepreneur etc.)
- I would think, I would be intellectually stimulated (for example: scientist, sociologist, psychoanalyst, historian, etc.)
- I would produce concrete things with my hands (for example: baker, carpenter, etc.)
- I would be in contact with the nature, I would be working outdoors (for example: forester, mountain guide, landscaper etc.)
- I would have a work without too much stress, too many responsibilities
- I would be in the action, I would exhaust myself physically (for example: stuntman, race pilot, professional athlete, etc.)
- I would express my creativity first, I would be creative (for example: painter, filmmaker, musician, writer, etc.)
- I would do all which is possible to earn a maximum of money

Shall look forward to the responses. Any other categories you can think of?

Take it easy.

Post 2: Oh, no no

Its not “K” – fixation for me at all to have my blog name starting with that letter.

And, superstitions do not work for me…what with black cats, black threads, black marks, cutting nails/shaving/hair cutting on particular days, whistling at night et al. Nothing against people who practice it, but these superstitions have no bearing on the way I live my life.

More later…breathe easy.

Post 1: Welcome

Welcome folks…have finally given to the temptation (did anyone say “what a loser”) of blogging – always felt that it is a good medium to pour one’s heart out without the trappings. And, since we live in an age where the keyboard and screen appear more friendlier than the mighty paper and pen (my father is not happy about this fact), it seemed like a good idea. Another benefit – one can flip pages virtually in time. Another one – people’s comments which make it a lot more interesting.

As you may have already noticed, the title of my blog is “kya re” (that’s Hindi, which translates into “what buddy?”). Guess it exemplifies what its meant to be – casual, colourful and chatty. Do not expect me to write a whole lot very frequently (am a father of a little one, so 24 hours are not enough), but I will genuinely try and keep it updated with thoughts, experiences, worries, rants etc etc…

Just a token of thanks to all the people who have influenced me in different ways to take this up….they know that they are being referred.

Until next time…Keep your chin up and breathe easy!
